I'm Dianne, a Counsellor/Psychotherapist with over 20 years experience in the field. I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Having always found myself to be a respectful listener & responsive to others, I embarked on a search for more understanding on how to better help those looking for support. This led me on to the path into the counselling profession.
We can all experience times in our lives when we are faced with emotional challenges. Though we may have friends & family to talk to, there are times when we know we need something more.
No matter what the situation, I believe we all have the ability to heal & grow from whatever life has put in our way.
As an integrative therapist, working to facilitate someone towards empowerment, I tailor every session to meet the uniqueness of each individual & not a ‘one size fits all’ attitude.
Underpinned by a Person-Centred approach and through years of continual professional development, I have within my Counsellors ’toolkit’ a wealth of knowledge & experience of theoretical modalities* to support the needs of those ready to address their current obstacles for improved mental health & well-being.
I adapt my approach to effectively support a client to explore their issues, to gain new perspectives and insights for achieving positive solutions.
*Modalities including Solution Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness & Interpersonal Therapy (this list is not exhaustive) and an expanse of coping strategies and self-help techniques.
