
At times life issues can feel overwhelming and bring emotional challenges. Though we may have friends & family to talk to, there are times when we know we need something more. No matter what the situation, I believe we all have the ability to heal and grow from whatever life throws at us.
I provide a safe and confidential space to explore the issues. Working with me in counselling offers a helping hand to address the challenges in a warm, non-judgemental and supportive way and work towards your chosen goals.
As an integrative therapist, I tailor every session to your meet your unique situation, not deliver a 'one size fits all' model. Underpinned by a Person-Centred approach, and through years of continual professional development, I have within my 'counsellor's toolkit’ a wealth of knowledge and experience*. This helps to facilitate you to address any obstacles in your path, and work towards empowerment to gain new perspectives and insights for achieving positive solutions and to improve your mental health and wellbeing. Sessions may be sprinkled with unexpected humour and laughter, even when you feel your most low or vulnerable.
*Modalities including Solution Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness and Interpersonal Therapy and an expanse of coping strategies and self-help techniques (this list is not exhaustive).

I have many years experience of working within further education colleges, voluntary, charity, health sector and community settings, supporting clients aged 16 years and above.
